Wentling Announces Grants for Area Fire Departments and EMS Companies

HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) today announced that multiple fire departments and emergency medical services (EMS) companies have received funding from the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program.

The groups that have received funding are:

- Clark Volunteer Fire Department: $13,094.35.
- Elite EMS: $15,000.
- Farrell Volunteer Fire Department: $13,094.35.
- Greenville Fire Department and EMS: $28,739.88.
- Greenville Volunteer Fire Co.: $12,448.81.
- Hempfield Township Volunteer Fire Department: $12,879.17.
- Hermitage Volunteer Fire Department: $28,322.02.
- Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department: $12,879.17.
- McGonigle Ambulance Service: $15,000.
- Patagonia Volunteer Fire Department: $13,094.35.
- Sharon Fire Department: $16,322.02.
- Sharpsville Volunteer Fire Department: $15,461.31.
- South Pymatuning Volunteer Fire Association: $12,448.81.
- West Salem Fire Department: $12,879.17.

“This is amazing news for fire departments and EMS companies across the 7th Legislative District,” said Wentling. “This funding will be beneficial to all who receive it and will help support our first responders who bravely protect our community.”

This funding comes from an ongoing grant program created by the Legislature which is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of existing debt.
