April 7, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today that grant funding through the Pennsylvania Main Street Matters program has been secured for multiple projects throughout the 7th Legislative District.
The funding has been awarded as follows:
- $70,000 to Penn-Northwest Development Corp for the Downtown Greenville Façade Improvement Program, which will continue to build upon the success of a previous round of façade funding to address blight and building neglect which has impacted the downtown area’s economic potential, safety and appearance.
- $150,000 for the Mercer and Lawrence Counties Accessible Housing Program.
- $30,000 to Sharon City to support its small business improvement microloan program.
“This funding will continue the revitalization of Sharon and Greenville’s downtowns, and support Mercer County’s home accessibility program for our residents,” said Wentling.
Through the Main Street Matters initiatives, $20 million will be invested to revitalize downtown areas, help businesses grow and improve community infrastructure.
