Wentling to Host Bike Rodeo
May 28, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) will host a bike rodeo Saturday, May 31, to help elementary-age children learn about bike safety.
Children in kindergarten through sixth grade can learn from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation educators while enjoying snacks, an obstacle course and a raffle for two bikes. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Buhl Park, 715 Hazen Road, Hermitage.
“I look forward to seeing my youngest constituents Saturday with their bikes and helmets. As a biking enthusiast myself, I know we are approaching some prime cycling time in the coming months. It is important everyone is able to ride safely and confidently,” Wentling said.
Wentling is offering the bike rodeo as part of National Bicycle Safety Month in conjunction with folks from Buhl Park, PennDOT, The Bicycle Store, Primary Health Network Charitable Foundation and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.
Families planning to attend the bike rodeo are encouraged to call Wentling’s office at 724-638-4101 to RSVP.
Editor’s Note: A flyer for the bike rodeo is attached for your use.
