Wentling Announces Green Light Go Grant for Sharon
December 30, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today that Sharon has been awarded a Green Light-Go Program grant to improve traffic safety and mobility through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Sharon will receive $762,534 to modernize multiple intersections throughout the city.
“This is excellent news for the citizens of Sharon. This grant will help fund necessary improvements to intersections in the city, making our roads safer for drivers across Mercer County,” said Wentling.
Green Light-Go grants are provided as reimbursements to municipalities for projects that improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals. These projects are funded through the 2025–26 budget. Eligible improvements include, but are not limited to, installation of light-emitting diode (LED) technology, traffic signal retiming, special-event traffic planning, traffic signal monitoring, and upgrades to modern signal technologies.
