July 15, 2026

GREENVILLE – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) on Wednesday announced South Pymatuning Township will receive a $1.8 million low-interest loan through PENNVEST for a waterline replacement and extension project.

PENNVEST funding specifically serves projects in Pennsylvania that focus on sewer, storm water and drinking water projects.

“This low-interest loan will help South Pymatuning Township make important waterline improvements that support reliable service, future growth and public safety,” said Wentling.

“We’re happy for Rep. Wentling’s support and PENNVEST’s approval of the loan,” said South Pymatuning Township Supervisor Mike Anglin. "This investment is a significant step forward for South Pymatuning Township and the surrounding communities. Upgrading this critical water infrastructure will improve the long-term reliability of our system, protect public health and help ensure we are prepared to meet future growth and environmental needs. We appreciate the Commonwealth's partnership in making these essential improvements possible for our residents and businesses."

The work will include the installation of approximately 1,095 feet of new 8-inch waterline in the area of Kathy Lane, 2,445 feet of new 10-inch waterline along and near Buckeye Drive, and 3,010 feet of 12-inch waterline along Saranac Drive. New fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances also will be installed. Once complete, the project is expected to allow approximately 69 new service connections.
