Wentling: Eligible Households to Receive Additional LIHEAP Assistance

July 30, 2026

GREENVILLE – State Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) on Thursday announced eligible households will automatically receive a one-time, $100 supplemental payment through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

“Utility bills remain far too high, and many families are struggling to keep up with their household expenses,” Wentling said. “This additional assistance will help make those bills a little more affordable for some of our most vulnerable neighbors.”

The federally funded payment is available to households that received LIHEAP assistance during the 2025-26 season and include a child younger than 6, an adult age 60 or older, or a person with a disability.

Payments will be sent directly to the household’s utility or heating-fuel provider. Eligible households will receive the assistance automatically and do not need to apply.
