Wentling Announces $24,700 Grant to Plan Triangle Park Improvements in Sharon

October 7, 2026

HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced the city of Sharon has been awarded a $24,700 state grant to help plan the future of Triangle Park in Mercer County.

“You don’t have to head deep into the woods to enjoy a little fresh air. Sometimes a good afternoon outdoors starts at the neighborhood park,” Wentling said. “As someone who enjoys getting outside, I’m glad to see Sharon receive this funding to map out Triangle Park’s future. A small park can make a big difference when it gives folks a place to stretch their legs, visit with neighbors and enjoy their hometown.”

The funding, awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnerships Program, will support preparation of a master site development plan for the 1-acre park. The project will include a written report and site development drawing to guide future improvements.
